Online Db2 LUW DBA Basics Workshop

In this ten-day Db2 DBA Workshop you will learn all the basic DB2 DBA skills like creating tablespaces and tables, how to use import, export, load, reorg, runstats and much more. The focus will be on the practical use of DB2 as needed in day to day activities. Every day you will do one unit (approx. 2-3 hours) in a live session on Microsoft Teams. Your trainer is Klaas Brant and the language is English. Each unit has one or more exercises in which you can practice the theory you just learned. You will get SSH access to one of our Linux Db2 environments. Linux skills are not needed, all commands needed are in the excises. The Db2 commands you use apply other platforms like Windows or AIX. You will need a SSH client on your PC (more details in the confirmation).

This is the perfect course for anybody who needs Db2 DBA skills in their day-to-day job like junior DBAs, Developers responsible for the Db2 environment, Devops team members, and System Administrators.

Online class using Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams has proven itself to be very flexible and has good video and audio quality. But maybe you or your company don’t use MS Teams. No problem! You will get an invite from us. If you already use MS Teams then the invite will add another Team (the class) to your existing Teams. If you don’t have Teams you have two options: 1. use online MS Teams in the browser or 2. download MS Team and use the MS Teams App on your PC (in general better quality). In both of these cases you don’t need a MS Teams License nor do you have to register your email with Microsoft.

Questions we often get:

Q: Do I need a webcam? A: No, in fact, we advise you to turn off the camera on a laptop to save bandwidth.

Q: Do I need a microphone? A: That is handy but not a must, you can also ask question in the chat.

Q: What do I do if I have a question during the exercises? A: Send us a message in MS Teams or an email and we will schedule a 1:1 session

Q: What if I miss a live session? A: You can access a recording of the live session on the kbce website. If you have a questions then post them on Teams or send an mail to the trainer.
